Mission Statement
To provide a temporary safe living space for Boston Terriers who are, or about to be, homeless. Providing spaying and neutering services, via qualified veterinarians, before rehoming in an attempt to prevent reckless breeding. Providing prospective owners with healthy, safe and well-mannered Boston Terriers at no monetary profit to any person or organization. Providing emotional support, guidance and breed expertise to Boston Terrier owners, preventing unnecessary placement in pet shelters.
Our History
Thank you for taking the time to visit us. Oregon Boston Terrier Rescue, Inc. was founded by Wanda Bailie in 2000 then applied and received Federal Charity approval in 2006. Working with a staff of 3 part time volunteers, we have managed to find over 150 Boston Terriers and Boston Terrier Mix breed dogs their forever homes. Dogs in Oregon Boston Terrier Rescue's care get all needed vet care to make them healthy and are fostered in Wanda's or a foster home while waiting for their perfect family.
Wanda Bailie has lived in Cornelius, OR, since 1993. She has been working with Boston Terriers since 1998 when she adopted her first Boston Terrier from Oklahoma Boston Terrier Rescue. Wanda also helps with foster and transportation when help is needed by Cattle Dog Rescue and Rat Terrier Rescue groups. Wanda also works with Texas based American Boston Terrier Rescue, helping with home checks, pick up and deliveries of rescues into the Pacific NW. In addition to the rescue, Wanda works a full time job as a Quality Engineer at a medical equipment manufacturer in Clackamas, Oregon.
